Jun Bao


Dr. Jun Bao born in December 1961 in Mudanjiang, Heilongjiang Province, completed his undergraduate degree in Animal Husbandry at Northeast Agricultural College in July 1984. He worked as an assistant teacher in the Department of Animal Husbandry from September 1984 to December 1988. Jun Bao studied at University College Cork for his PhD from December 1988 to April 1994. During the period from May 1994 to January 1999, Dr. Jun Bao successively held the posts of the Associated Head and Head of Department of Animal Science, and Dean of College of Animal Science and Technology at Northeast Agricultural College, as well as Professor and Doctoral Supervisor in College of Animal Science and Technology. He served as the Vice President of Northeast Agricultural College from January 1999 to February 2008, and served as the Deputy Party Secretary and President of Heilongjiang Bayi Agricultural University since February 2008. Since June 2013, has been serving as the President of Northeast Agricultural University, China.

Concurrently, Dr. Bao Jun is serving as the President of Livestock and Environmental Health Branch of Chinese Society of Animal Science, Vice President of Animal Husbandry Engineering Branch of Chinese Institute of Engineers, Standing Director of Ecology Branch of Chinese Association of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine, President of Heilongjang Provincial Association of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, and Vice President of Dairy Association of Heilongjiang Province.
